REVIEW : Riky Rick Stay Shining New EP

Riky Rick has released his anticipated Second Album titled Stay Shining. This 8 track album is kwaito - infused with hip hop mostly.  Riky Rick's career has evolved a great deal but I would like to think this album is not his best work and mostly his career has  only evolved because of him being featured in songs alongside other artists and his great fashion sense.

Comparing this album to the award winning  Family Values he had us eating from the palm of his hand with Stay Shining its a short and sour album.  The  songs do not connect and there are only few songs that are outstanding. I honestly do not know who approved his into to the album which was Jordan's Intro. I would like to vent that when artists give us music like this I begin to question that are you really doing it for the music or just for the sake of releasing.

Riky  assembled the talents of Davido, Professer,  Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Tshego, Gemini Major, A -Reece, Major League DJs, YoungstaCPT, Frank Casino, Kly, Da L.E.S , Stilo Magolide and J Molley.  Even with these major features its not much of an album just a bunch of single tracks put together to make an album only so he can receive radio play.

Tracks that stood out for me was Stay Shining and Buy it out. I would really like to appreciate Riky with the effort he made on the album but it has to be back to the drawing board with this one.

Cop it on Itunes
