Review : Rouge the Rapper _ The New Era Sessions

One of the best albums to actually come out this year in the South African Hip Hop Scene.  An album by our fav rapper Rouge! She does not like being stereotyped by being labeled a female rapper no she is a Rapper! A Rapper who has gained so much respect  this lady has bars more than you fav!

In her intro which opens up the album she plays a snip at the end about what the album is about and its about love, empowerment, old school and  trap. The songs that stand out for me definitely has to me No Pressure , DejaVu, Let it go and The Break up. The old school trap mix is amazing.

She has clearly made a statement with this album and it does set a mood. Radio play for this album is well deserving.  I did not get bored while listening to it and did not skip a song, she features great artists such as Kly, Sasha , Moozile and Bigstar.

Rouge establishes and empowered feminine stance by delivering fierce and establishing her street cred. She is eating with the greats on this album.
